KANNAD 406AF Compact- Based on the popular 406AF series three frequency ELT and designed with general aviation specifically in mind.  The Compact is the smallest and lightest ELT combined into an “all in one” kit with all installation supplies and required instructions.

Kannad 406AF Compact ELT kit comes with:

• Compact ELT transmitter with six year battery.       
• ELT Mount bracket and hardware                   
• RC200 Remote Control Switch and Sub D Connector
• DIN-12 ELT connector
• Detailed installation manual with drill masks, drawings, diagrams and post installation test procedures.

• Ultra small size and light weight ideal for any general aviation aircraft.
• Operates without aircraft power and incorporates an internal alarm/buzzer avoiding costly installation procedures.
• Six year lithium manganese battery.
• Rod or Whip antenna normally sold separately (whip antenna included at SkyView Aviation).

The KANNAD 406AF-Compact transmits a unique aircraft identification number allowing efficient location pinpointing and identification of false alarms to avoid costly search and rescue operations.  A sophisticated “shock sensor” system will activate the ELT automatically in the event of a crash.

Beware of the competitors who offer a lower initial price, but with a battery that really only lasts a couple years, unlike our batteries that last 6 years. Why spend $200 every 2 years on a new battery? The Kannad battery is also certified for 120 hours of continuous use instead of 24 hours from the competition. Kannad's batteries can be tested monthly through it's entire battery life without losing valuable months off the back end of the lifespan. Also, the Kannad ELT battery powers the entire system. Some of the competitors require 3 batteries, one for the ELT, one for the panel switch and one for the buzzer.
